The State of Design Management Education
It is an exciting era for design management education. The field has gone mainstream. Whereas, in the past, we have profiled courses and professional seminars, we now share an overview of innovative graduate degree and dual-degree programs in design and business schools, many complemented with internships and hands-on corporate experience. Moreover, this is a global reality, with a growing call for design management expertise from companies, as well as from design firms. Within this context, a particular concern is building effective interdisciplinary teams, a challenge addressed academically with special courses and projects.
