Design Leadership: Inflection Point (Issue 2)

In August 2016, the Design Management Institute (DMI) hosted an academic conference with the theme of "Inflection Point: Design Research Meets Design Practice at the Inflection Point." The conference, which took place in Boston, MA, DMI's hometown, addressed partnerships between academia, industry and government are becoming the new normal; collaboration and knowledge-transfer are creating inflection points capable of changing the course of companies, industries, economies and governments.
The work presented in this edition of the Design Management Journal is the result of a thorough double-blind review process of over 150 papers submitted to that conference. These papers are highly diverse and reflect the breadth of topics addressed.
