Connecting and Creating Value

The dmi:Symposium Munich 10-11 March at the distinctive BMW Welt Business Center will be a fast-paced, immersive 1.5-day event hosted in partnership with bayern design, The Bavarian State Ministry, and Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW).

The Symposium theme is “45 Years of Impact by Design: Connecting and Creating Value”. Short keynote sessions and small group workshops will focus on new ways that Design connects to humanize technology, simplify complexity, and drive innovation to add value in large organizations, small and medium enterprises (SME), startups, and the public sector.

The dmi:Symposium is part of the 9th Annual MCBW, the largest design event in Germany. Over 200 events and exhibitions will be hosted throughout Munich for more than 70,000 visitors.

BMW Welt Business Center is part of the stunning BMW Group Headquarters- home to a diverse range of activities: The BMW Welt world of experience event hall, The BMW Group Plant and The BMW Museum. The building, designed by Coop Himmelb(l)au Architects is just 30 minutes from downtown Munich by train. Go here for directions by train, bus, or shuttle.

Symposium delegates may wish to arrive to BMW early on 8 March to explore the BMW Group Headquarters. The compound includes the BMW Museum, BMW Group Plant, a cafe, a BMW merchandise shop, even a spot to take a test drive. All details and offerings can be found here.



About the Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW)

Munich and Bavaria have fostered a connection between design and business that fuels entrepreneurship and innovation. The MCBW celebrates that connection with the largest design event in Germany. More than 120 design-conscious companies, designers, design agencies of all disciplines, architectural and advertising firms, and interested citizens participate. More than 70,000 attendees will find programming under the overarching theme "Design Connects!" Sub-theme tracks will focus on the future of media, work, cities, fashion, digitization, sustainable design, and innovation.
