DMI Brings First-Ever Conference

on Diversity & Inclusion to Cincinnati in May

11 May 2018; Cincinnati, OH — The Design Management Institute (DMI) is headed to Cincinnati, OH, in May for a new installment in its international Design Leadership Conference series: Innovative Thinking on Diversity and Inclusion. The organization will host its three-day forum May 22nd through May 24th at LPK’s Brand Innovation Center, as well as a reception at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center on the evening of May 23rd.
“Cincinnati is the capital of branding and a vibrant, diverse city. We can’t think of a better setting for this exploration of diversity and inclusion through the lens of innovation,” says President of DMI, Carole Bilson. “Our conference is bringing together diverse voices—many of them women and minorities—to share their amazing innovation work and also to lead provocative discussions and pose tough questions about the intersection of race, gender and how to fill the design management pipeline in today’s business climate. We hope attendees leave inspired with new strategies and ideas to create environments that are both inclusive and primed to win.”

The conference’s opening keynote, Building a Winning and Inspiring Culture, will feature Dr. Shirley Davis, CEO, SDS Global Enterprises; Patricia Pope, CEO & Chief Creative Officer, Pope Consulting; and William Gipson, President End-to-End Packaging Transformation and Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, P&G. In addition, a series of lectures, panel discussions and workshops will feature speakers from PepsiCo, Google, Johnson & Johnson, McKinsey & Co. and Carnegie Mellon, among many others.

Online registration is available until May 23rd. To purchase tickets, visit
