With the complexity of today's ever-changing world, the importance of cross disciplinary collaboration, advanced problem solving, and inclusive innovation continues to rise. In order to successfully develop innovation capacity within
an organization, one must master the underlying psychological and behavior skills that are central to building individual and organizational core competencies. In this introductory workshop Humantific co-founder Elizabeth Pastor will
take you inside the mechanics of enabling innovation in the real world. The focus of the session is surfacing innovation thinking styles and linking them into Humantific's adaptable innovation methodology that is applicable
to the many complex challenges found in both organizational and social contexts. Why is it important to recognize and equally value both imaginative and convergent thinking styles? How do you explain the need and the benefits to organizational
leaders? Find out in this workshop. Who Will Benefit Those interested in creating inclusive innovation environments/organizations. Any leader responsible for inclusive culture/team building, that
might include:
- Emerging innovation leaders
- Design leaders
- Project managers
- Senior leaders across businesses

Learn how to leverage common user experience (UX) principles to uncover actionable insights into your team's working experience using an empathetic mindset and journey mapping framework. These iterative tools can help to optimize the employee
experience by understanding the role of motivations and emotions, highlighting key touchpoints, and uncovering friction points and communication gaps in the employee experience.
You’ll learn: What a
user journey map is, how to create one & how the exercise can uncover opportunities to improve individual and team satisfaction.
- Understand why journey mapping is essential for internal teams and how it can help uncover gaps and opportunity areas in the employee experience.
- How to determine what questions to ask to create a functional journey map.
- ow to validate user journey maps and iterate on the experience.
Who should attend? This workshop is geared for senior leaders and managers interested in creating higher levels of relevance in the employee experience. With over fifteen years of experience impacting design, marketing,
software and user experience, and her innate understanding of strategy and design-thinking, Kelly Jura is driven by the way that people experience ideas. Kelly possesses a strong strategic mindset on how consumer behaviors, perceptions,
and user interaction with technology affect design; she is certified by MIT in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) for User Experience and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Bridgeport. Her work has manifested in several
patents for proprietary design processes and she is a sought-after thought-leader in academia and in the trade.
