dmi:Design Leadership Conference #DLC18

October 7-9, 2018

The dmi:Design Leadership Conference #DLC18 was held along the Charles River in Cambridge, MA and hosted a series of thought leaders who shared their diverse perspectives on the unprecedented cultural and technological change that continues to radically reshape companies and competition. The dmi:Design Leadership conference was an immersive experience that deepened our understanding of the power of design and innovation to sustain positive business, social and cultural value.

On Monday night of the conference, we honored 12 winners of the 2018 dmi:Design Value Awards. Their compelling and effective design initiatives may be found here.

As part of DMI’s mission to connect design and innovation leaders across the globe, our organization encourages students to attend our Design Management and Design Leadership conferences. This year, sponsorships from DMI, PepsiCo and GE allowed DMI to host 11 exceptional students from 9 universities. They met with design leaders, attended sessions, and contributed to conference conversations about the future of design. We thank them and recognize their contributions. Find interactive notes by students Aldo Valencia here and sketchnotes by Nakia Shelton here

Thank you to everyone that attended, to our distinguished speakers and session leaders, and to our generous sponsors: GE, J&J, and PepsiCo.
