General underwriting includes substantial visibility benefits, both online, at events, and in print. Underwriting includes credits for DMI conferences and seminars that can be used for staff or to pass on to clients, as well as access to DMI’s outstanding mailing list. DMI accepts either cash sponsorship or in kind contributions of comparable value

Conference Partners

DMI conferences are the place to go for the latest thinking on design and business. Conferences offer a popular and effective way to connect with DMI’s high level audience. For all DMI conference, DMI offers a variety of sponsorship levels to fit different budgets, and a variety of specific options such as receptions or meals. Sponsors receive visibility through brochures, emails to DMI’s 27,000+, press coverage, signage, conference handouts, and post-conference video.

A quick scan of the attendee lists for any of our recent events will reveal why DMI conferences are renowned as much for the audience as for the presenters. All DMI conferences attract an elite audience of executives, senior managers, consultants and educators. DMI’s attendees, unlike other design conferences, represent movers and shakers with substantial budget authority.

The Design Management Europe Conference is typically held in early spring.  This high-level event attracts executives, managers, consultants and educators from around the world to discuss challenges and real-world solutions in the practice of Design Management.

The Design Management Annual Conference is DMI’s big-picture, cross-disciplinary, strategic event. First held in 1977, this elite event has a reputation as a must-attend event among the industry’s best and brightest. The event is usually held in early fall.

Advertising rates vary

As an alternative to sponsorship, advertising in the quarterly DMI Review offers an affordable and easy way to reach DMI stakeholders. The prestigious Review, founded in 1989, is published in conjunction with Wiley-Blackwell, the world’s leading publisher of professional and society publications.

The DMI Review is published four times per year, and reaches a worldwide audience of more than 2,000 managers, designers, executives, and educators. The Review is distributed to all subscribers and all DMI members. Advertising in the Review is a great way to reach a high-level audience with great influence and budget decision-making power.

DMI is now partnering with Wiley-Blackwell to manage the publishing process for the DMI Review and the annual Design Management Journal. The partnership will considerably broaden the visibility and international distribution of both publications.
