The Dutch government announced nine Topsectors in 2011, and the Creative Industries is one of them. Join Barbera Wolfsenberger, Chairman, Topteam Creative Industries and Chief Marketing Officer, Telegraaf Media Groep (TMG) as she recounts the value design brings to society and business in the Netherlands, and influences felt around the world, as part of the Top-sector Creative Industries.  How does the cooperation among and between the different sub-disciplines work? What has been achieved so far? And what is yet to come…?

 

 

BIOGRAPHY:
Barbera Wolfensberger is Chief Marketing Officer at TMG (Telegraaf Media Groep) in Amsterdam. In January 2014 she was appointed by the Minister of Economic affairs as chair of the Dutch Topsector Creative Industries and member of the Dutch Creative Council. Since the nineties she has worked for several Dutch and US companies. She has worked for famous retailers like HEMA, Etos and Intratuin. and also for advertising agencies like Young & Rubicam and JWT. Before she started at TMG she was the CEO of BBDO in The Netherlands for over 6 years.

In addition Wolfensberger is a board member at Foundation Cinekid (founded in order to stimulate the production of high-quality media for children) and member of the Advisory Board for the Hogeschool of Amsterdam CI. She has studied at Hogeschool Utrecht and the Center for Business Studies in London.
