Session Description:

In the last decade CEOs have caught the design thinking bug. How have organizations fared in converting initial enthusiasm and resources into genuine impact? We will hear from a number of senior design leaders who have succeeded (or learned trying) to rally their organizations around design in the aim of transforming their product and service offerings.

 

 

BIOGRAPHIES:

 

Thit Juul Madsen
Thit Juul is the CEO of D2i - design to innovate, the Danish Design Cluster based in Kolding. D2i works with large scale design driving innovation and run programs connecting hundreds of SME’s with designers, design researchers and practitioners, with the aim of embedding design capabilities in SMEs to help foster innovation and growth.

Thit is also Editor in Chief at the online magazine DANISH™, focusing on danish design & architecture. http://danish.tm

In the past, Thit has served as program director at 180 Academy, a museum curator, as well as a CSR manager at an apparel company.

Thit has received a Bachelor degree in international development and a Master of Science in public administration from Roskilde University Centre in Denmark, and Master of Art business innovation & concept creation from Coventry University and 180 Academy.

  

 

Daniela Busse
Daniela Busse focuses on research and incubation of breakthrough, design-led innovation and future experiences at the Citi Innovation Network.

In the past, Daniela served as Design Futurist/Innovation Director at Samsung Research America, as UX Director at SAP’s Office of the CEO, and as Design Researcher at Microsoft’s Office Design Group. Through her award-winning work, she defines ground-breaking new uses and designs for technologies, for future roadmap ideation and product experience incubation.

Daniela received her Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction/complex systems analysis & design from Glasgow University’s Department of Computing Science (Scotland, UK), and also her Summa Cum Laude degrees in both Computing Science and Psychology. She holds multiple patents, is a sought-after speaker, and has published frequently in the field of UX Design, Research, and Innovation.

  

 

Christina Taylor
Christina Taylor is Head of Human Centered Design, Swisscom Schweiz AG

Christina’s department works at the intersection of innovation practice, strategy, brand experience and cultural transformation on turning Swisscom into an experience-driven company.

Christina’s experience as a marketing and brand experience expert covers a wide range of assignments in the telecommunication industry (Swisscom, Omega/Switzerland, Mutiara Telecom/Kuala Lumpur). She worked in San Francisco for five years at Swisscom Outpost and brought back to Switzerland the knowledge she gained about Human Centered Design in Silicon Valley.

Christina is the creator of 7 Design Skills - a capability driven approach to Human Centered Design. She leads a team of 70 employees and has trained and coached several hundreds of employees and numerous members of management at Swisscom. HCD consulting and customer observation/research attest first impressive results: new price plans mobile (Infinity) and bundles (Vivo), new Swisscom shops.
