REMIX

REMIX

This year's annual conference fuses change with 33 years of tradition. The conference is building beforehand with a social networking website, and now moves toward an exciting event that will mix traditional presentations, innovative workshops, networking, and more. Join us at the scenic Cliff House Resort & Spa to remix new ways, new tools, new influences with traditional approaches for design and business. We promise to immerse you in a powerful blend of ideas that will transform your career and enterprise.

New @ REMIX:

  • REMIX Workshop Series: DMI’s Remix workshop series will tackle issues of importance from both a business and social perspective. Over the course of two days, we’ll split into groups with the guidance of conference speakers and additional experts, and then regroup to present the outcome. Get ready to roll up your sleeves, interact, learn, produce results, and have fun! Workshop leaders include Marcia Lausen and Susan Verba of Studio/Lab, Eli Singer, Andrew Baron of Rocketboom.com, and Lauralee Alben, Principal, Alben LLC.
  • Lauralee Alben, Principal, Alben LLC, will be presenting this year's Muriel Cooper Award to a recipient to be announced at the conference. Lauralee was the first Cooper Award winner in 1997.
  • DMI President Emeritus Earl Powell will be receiving the DMI Life Fellow Award at the conference. He will also be attending the complete conference, providing a bridge from the past of DMI to the future.

For the last few years, attendees of DMI's popular Design/Management Europe conference have rated Milan, Italy among the most desirable cities for a future conference. We've listened to your requests, and are pleased to announce that the 13th European conference will be held in Milan on March 25-27, 2009, marking the conference's first visit to Italy.

The 2008 conference was DMI's most successful European conference ever, with over 180 attendees from more than two dozen countries experiencing a full week of design management amid the splendors of Paris.
