Call for Papers: International DMI Education Conference
Design Thinking: New Challenges for Designers, Managers, and Organizations
April 14-15, 2008
ESSEC Business School, Paris, France
The Design Management Institute in collaboration with Lancaster University, ESSEC Business School, and SDA Bocconi School of Management, is inviting researchers and practitioners from all fields to submit paper proposals to the International DMI Education Conference. The conference will be held just prior to DMI's 12th DMI European International Design Management Conference, which will run April 16-18, 2008 in Paris.
The conference committee, chaired by Thomas Lockwood, is interested in papers that contribute to theory building, provide examples of empirical research, or use case studies to illustrate how, when and why designing can become an organizational asset. Selected papers from the conference will be published in a special issue of DMI Academic Journal. For consideration, please email your abstract proposal by December 7th, 2007 to s.junginger@lancaster.ac.uk.
Hold the Date: DMI European Conference goes to Paris in April
The 12th DMI European Design Management Conference
April 16-18, 2008
Paris, France
DMI's popular European Conference will achieve another milestone with its first visit to Paris this coming April. The last two conferences, held in Amsterdam in 2006 and Copenhagen in 2007, have been DMI's largest and most successful ever. The 2008 venue will be the Hilton Paris, centrally located near the Eiffel Tower and overlooking the Seine River. Just prior to the professional conference, DMI will also hold an academic conference at the ESSEC Business School (see above). Look for theme, speaker, and registration announcements at www.dmi.org/conferences in the coming weeks.
