DMI’s new identity & strategic plan: connections

At the recent Milan and San Francisco conferences, DMI president Thomas Lockwood introduced a new identity that reflects DMI’s commitment to community, connections, inspiration, and global reach. Extensive work over the last two years was conducted by DMI in collaboration with LPK, IIT Institute of Design, Lucid Brands, and Continuum to redefine DMI’s business strategy, positioning, and branding. “The idea of ‘connections’ emerged through the collaborations, interviews, and research,” noted Lockwood. The identity will be implemented on a rolling basis over the coming months. One of the first applications will be a re-launch of the DMI Review issue this summer.
