| DMI’s 1st “Get Connected” night a success! |

Enjoying a beautiful August night in at Wallace Church’s midtown New York courtyard, over 40 current, new, and prospective DMI members attended DMI first networking night!
The purpose of the event was to introduce the NYC design community to other members and like-minded peers, and share ideas and challenges of where design management is today. Instead of twittering and blogging, guests enjoyed some hors d’oeuvres with a glass of wine—and put an actual face on members. The courtyard filled up early and was livened with some DMI music by Audiobrain.
Much of the talk was about how DMI is a community they can rely on for education, news and connections with other thinkers. People jumped at the chance to initiate introductions and carried on with new friends. Thanks to everyone attending the inaugural event!
A special thanks to Wallace Church for hosting the evening. They provided a welcoming, inspiring and fun space.
More DMI networking events will be planned in the future. Watch for other area announcements soon.
