When does my membership start?
DMI membership starts as soon as your membership is processed, and runs from the end of the month in which you join, for a period of one year.

A Group/Organization/Forum member resigned. Can I transfer the membership to another colleague?
Yes. Please contact DMI immediately, and we’ll change the membership.
Three other people in my office are members. Does it make sense to form a Group membership?
Absolutely! Everyone can benefit from DMI, and if you join as a Group (four members) instead of separate individuals, you will receive a higher discount on events. Or, if you have enough people, consider an Organization or Forum membership.
Does being a Group/Organization/Forum member also mean we are DMI Sponsors?
Sponsorship of DMI is a separate program from membership. Many DMI members are also sponsors. Learn more about sponsoring DMI conferences, or about general DMI sponsorship.
I’m in the Public Sector, should I join as a Professional or Academic member?
Individuals working in the public sector are eligible for DMI Academic Membership rates. This includes government agencies, country design councils, and nonprofit organizations.
Who is eligible for DMI Student membership?
Student memberships are for fulltime students, or students enrolled in a formal graduate design management degree program.

DMI membership is open to anyone. Whether you’re a businessperson, executive, manager, consultant, or educator, if you’re interested in learning more about using design management and design thinking for business success and social benefit, this is the place for you!
