How to prepare for the session:
Participants should prepare the following before the session:
-
Analysis of a poor decision. Participants should select a strategic, design related decision they either made or were a part of making that did not have a successful outcome. Please identify what was being decided, what process and data were used (if any) to make the decision, any internal issues and dynamics that effected the process, and a description of the outcome. We will share these in the session, so please do not include any confidential information.
-
Decision diary: On the last day of work before the session, simply make a list of all the decisions (design related) you made during the day. These should range from strategic (should we take this project) to very tactical (how much time should we spend on font selection).
