Biography: Charlotte Zuijderwijk

Charlotte Zuijderwijk's career began at Nike in the early 90's when she started as a graphic designer at Nike European Headquarters after finishing her education at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague, The Netherlands. She spent a year at Nike's World Headquarters in 1996. After returning to Holland, she moved to Retail Design, working on Nike Stores, and led the European Design teams on NikeTown London and NikeTown Berlin.

From Retail Design, she moved to Brand Design, working on PR tools and Advertising. In 2002, she led the design agency Homemade Cookies in The Hague, to experience the life "on the other side of the table." Nike was still her biggest client, but her portfolio was very broad with clients in the Dutch Government, the Dutch fashion brand Turnover, and the Bernard van Leer Foundation, an international grant making foundation.

In 2004, Charlotte returned to Nike, heading up Professional Sports Design, working on Olympic product, speed skating suits and rugby game day uniforms. From Football Design – Federation kits and Team kits, back to Nike's World Headquarters, heading up the Young Athletes Design team. She is now back at Nike European Headquarters, leading the European Design POD, Footwear, Apparel and Equipment, specifically for the European market.

The future is bright!
