The Global Design/User Experience team at GE Healthcare is on a transformative journey, one that is aimed at evaluating, differentiating, and driving growth through a deep understanding of the User Experience. During the past several years, they have been working to help accelerate how Design and User Experience are embraced across the company. The team has reimagined how it works, rebuilding and refining their foundation in operations, organizational structure, and the cohesive Design Language strategy that connects, inspires, and guides them.

 

Biography: Bob Schwartz

 

Bob Schwartz joined GE Healthcare in 2007 as General Manager, Global Design & User Experience. GE Healthcare is a $17 billion division of General Electric that provides medical diagnostics and information technologies, drug discovery and biopharmaceutical manufacturing technologies, and performance improvement services. Bob oversees the Global Design function encompassing human factors, industrial design, ergonomics, user interface, and design research.

 

Bob joined GE Healthcare from Procter & Gamble, where he was a global design leader working to transform the design function to a strategically relevant capability. Bob has a Master’s degree in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Industrial & Graphic Design from the Kansas City Art Institute and School of Design.
