Panel Member: Peter Newbould, Partner, Design Group Italia I.D. srl
Biography
Peter joined Design Group Italia five years ago as a senior designer and was made partner last year. He brings six years of experience from Unilever, having worked in category management for the UK personal products business, following brands like Axe and Rexona; and then in Italy within the home care business as a European Innovation manager, developing new designs of systems and tools for cleaning the home. He has also worked independently for a number of clients, such as Philip Morris, EMI, and Pomellato, working on various design and multimedia projects.
His present responsibilities within in Design Group Italia follow a major account, 3M: creating a strategic design partnership with key clients within 3M offices around the world, and delivering design projects to a wide range of product categories and international brands.
Peter has degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Management from the University of Birmingham and Industrial Design Engineering from the Royal College of Art in London. In his spare time, Peter takes advantage of the geography of northern Italy, as he enjoys snowboarding in the Alps and kite surfing on the lakes.
