Human Innovation and Sustainability
Alessandro Finetto, Director Global Consumer Design, Whirlpool Europe
For Whirlpool Europe, the future vision is contributing to sustainable development through innovation. Yet, innovation does not simply rely on the best technology, but also on the needs of customers, employees, and future generations. Whirlpool’s Human Innovation program originates from the diversity of cultures, backgrounds and beliefs of the company. The preservation of our planet’s natural resources becomes one of the central themes of Whirlpool innovation. Alessandro Finetto defines innovation from a corporation’s point of view, and how innovation comes from the creative use of technology that already exists, citing Green Kitchen, Whirlpool’s innovative and unique concept aimed at maximizing potential savings for consumers, while minimizing effects on the environment.
