| Biography
Lisbeth Svengren is Associate Professor at Stockholm University School of Business. She is Project Co-Leader of the research program "Relationships in the process of strategic innovation". She is participating in a multidisciplinary research program: Design in the Niche Society (Dennis) and in the international teaching and research programs: EU/ASIA Design Management Network and Design Against Crime. Her primary teaching and research interests are in strategic design management, product development and innovation.
She joined Stockholm University School of Business in 1997. Prior to that she was a lecturer at Lund University School of Economics and Management from where she also has her Ph.D. Between 1993 and 1997 she was working with Research and Development at Swedish Industrial Design Foundation in Stockholm, where she is still editor of Designjournalen, published twice a year. In 2000 she served as secretary of the National Agency for Higher Education's evaluation of the Swedish design educational programmes.
Her most recently published articles are entitled: About the Need of a Critical Mass o Designers to Make a Design Strategy in the International Journal of New Product Development & Innovation Management, September/October 2002 and "Design Management and Brand Management: nice couples or false friends?” forthcoming from the book Brand Cultures, edited by Jonathan Schroeder and Miriam Salzer-Mörling (Routledge).
