 For 2006, the 31st Design Management Conference will move to The Equinox Resort & Spa, in Manchester Village, Vermont. Founded in 1769, the Equinox features New England charm and attractions such as an 18 hole golf course, the Avanyu Spa and fitness center, and the historic Marsh Tavern. The hotel is located in picturesque Manchester Village, with views of scenic Mount Equinox.
Registration
The "Full American Plan," which includes your lodging, full buffet breakfast, lunch except on Wednesday and three course dinner daily, is USD$298.00 per night for single occupancy and USD$193.00 per person per night for double occupancy. Please use the group registration code DMI when calling the Equinox. Requests for early arrival or extended stays will be accommodated on a space available basis at the regular rate and will include lodging only.
All room reservations should be made by September 22, 2006. After this date the block will be released to the general public and availability cannot be guaranteed.
Recreational Activities
The Equinox features a wide range of unique activities, including: Gleneagles Golf Course, an Off Road School, the British School of Falconry, the Orvis Fly Fishing School, the Orvis Wingshooting School, and The Archery School. The hotel is located on a 2,300 acre preserve, with walking, hiking, and mountain bike trails. Other activities include swimming in the resort’s indoor pool, tennis, and horseback riding. Nearby Manchester has more than 150 designer boutique outlet shops.

Amenities include high speed wireless Internet access throughout the hotel, concierge service, business centers, valet parking, and room service. The Avanyu Spa offers everything from traditional massage therapies to new age therapies.
How to Get to the Equinox
Flights should be arranged to the Albany International Airport, which is just a 70-minute drive from the Equinox and receives more than 120 flights daily from all major airlines. DMI will be arranging shuttle service to and from the Albany International Airport. The Equinox is a 70-minute drive from Albany, a two-hour drive from Hartford, a four-hour drive from New York City, and a three-hour drive from Boston.
