China’s leading chocolate company, Jindi, needed a cohesive,
comprehensive brand strategy and design language. After nine months,
many design presentations, cultural experiences, a war, an epidemic,
and a suitcase full of cash, we had plenty of chocolate experience
and some fascinating stories. Upon our return, we were invited by
Marshall Field’s to create packaging for a closer-to-home
chocolate brand: the iconic Frango. Miranda Moss will discuss how
this relationship evolved into a package design to help fund Estée
Lauder’s breast cancer research, and discuss the similarities
and differences of these two fascinating design management challenges.
