Non-Member Guest registration includes an email subscription to DMI’s online newsletter, as well as updates on DMI educational offerings and global design events. Please note that we do not share our mailing list with other organizations. Your privacy is important to us.

WORKSHOPS & CONFERENCES

Up to date information can be found on our Workshop & Conference page. Don’t see what you’re looking for? See below for answers to common inquiries.

Can I attend a workshop or conference as a Non-Member?

Yes. Both Non-Member Guests and DMI Members can attend DMI workshops and conferences, however only DMI Members can take advantage of discounted prices. Conferences may also have meetings or networking sessions restricted to DMI members.

How does a Bundle ticket work?

DMI will sometimes have a Membership promotion when running workshops or conferences, allowing NEW members to purchase a ticket with a discounted membership or CURRENT MEMBERS to renew memberhsip for another year.

To buy a bundle: please DO NOT BUY A SEPARATE DMI MEMBERSHIP. When purchasing your workshop or conference ticket, select the “Bundled” ticket option that includes your event ticket and membership. Your new membership will be made active and confirmed by email.

I’d like to register more than one person for a conference/workshop.

An account is limited to one registration only. Your colleague will need his/her own account to register. Creating an account takes only a minute. You can do so here.

How can I access past conference video.

Full conference video recordings are accessible only to attendees of that particular conference and to DMI members.

Members can search for all past conference video through the dmi: Content Search or by visiting the page of recent past conferences. If you are a Non-Member Guest who attended a conference and would like access to its videos, please Contact Us for help.

Conference videos are not available to Non-Member Guests nor are they available for purchase, though select video clips can be watched for free on the dmi:ideas YouTube channel.

ACCESSING CONTENT

Where can I find archived content?

From anywhere on the site, select “CONTENT” up at the top and then click “Search all Content” in the drop-down menu. (Or simply click here.)

Archived content includes past dmi: Review and dmi: Journal articles, case studies, webcast recordings, and conference videos.

What is the difference between the Content Search and the Site Search?

The Content Search is an archive of DMI-promoted content including articles from the dmi: Review and dmi: Journal, Case Studies, Videos, and Web Conversations. It is filterable, allowing you find content by topic, discipline, media type, and author.

The Site Search, as the name may suggest, searches the entire DMI website. It broadly searches through site pages, event postings, member profiles, community content, shared documents and store products. A Site Search will also include DMI content (listed as “Products”), however results are not as filterable as with a Content Search.

I am a member, why am I being asked to purchase and checkout content?

DMI Members must still go through the Online Store "checkout", but no payment is needed for PDF downloads.

  1. Make sure you’re signed in to your DMI account.
  2. Article downloads are priced at $0.00 for Members.
  3. Select “Add Item” to place an item in your cart.
  4. When ready, select “Checkout”. The grand total should be $0.00.
  5. “Complete Order” to receive an email with links to your content.

We understand this may not be the most intuitive experience and appreciate your patience as we continue to refine the new dmi website experience.

Where did the Content Search go?

Did the search fields disappear from the Content Search page? You may need to clear your web browser cache.

Browsers often save (or cache) webpage history as temporary files in order to improve your browsing speed, but this can sometimes corrupt the display. To solve this, clear the cache in your browsing history then reopen the Content Search in a new tab or window. Need help refreshing your cache? Click here.

I’d like to access past conference video.

Full conference video recordings are accessible only to DMI members and attendees of the particular conference. These videos are not available to Non-Member Guests nor are they available for purchase. Select edited video clips can be watched for free on the dmi:ideas YouTube channel.

Members can search for conference video through the dmi: Content Search. Filter by Media > Video to see all videos or add to your search to find the speaker or topic you are looking for.

Every purchase has a unique URL that automatically updates with every transaction. If you have the link to the invoice, you also have the link to the receipt. You’ll notice that after a credit card payment, the invoice automatically updates to reflect this.

How do I make a Wire Transfer payment?

Your system won’t accept my credit card.
